Wedding day in Santiago de Compostela

This is by far the funniest couple I have ever come across! Shima and Gus met each other in Florence where she studied and he was on holiday. It was love at first sight but after 4 months they thought it wasn’t working because of the distance… Years later they met again in Florence and while they were with friends and climbed the highest tower in winter Shima was asked to marry Gus and ofcourse she said yes!!!! She moved to Lugo to live with the love of her life and now ladies and gentlemen you’ll see their special day!!!

The wedding

We started of at Hotel A Quinta de Auga **** to do the prep of both Shima and Gus.  The bride got ready with her bridesmaids and she wore a beautiful wedding dress with a feathered bodice and a bird cage on her head accompanied by Prada shoes. The groom got suited and booted by himself.

This was followed by the wedding ceremony in the catholic church, Santa Maria Colegiata do Sar. After which we took some shots in the centre of Santiago, wow what an amazing city that is!! After that we went to the hotel to have an Iranian ceremony because Shima is Iranian. I never knew Iranian women are sooo beautiful and I completely understand why all the bachelor friends of Gus try to learn some Iranian pick up lines 😉

After the second wedding ceremony there was a reception where canapes and drinks were served. A gorgeous wedding meal was served in the salon which was decorated for the special occasion! The first dance was next, the newlyweds had a great dance off and the wedding party ended in the early morning.

The day after

Next day I met Miguel, a good friend of Gustavo, the best man, at one of the coffeeshops in town, he asked to join him as the happy couple would meet him soon, ofcourse I did and well they showed me the best restaurants in town! Didn’t go home till midnight. Thanks guys for your hospitality, I really enjoyed your perfect wedding day and the next !

I am a photographer located on the Costa Blanca about ten minutes from Torrevieja and in between Alicante and Murcia. I cover most areas and places on the coast where a lot of couples choose to get married such as Altea, Benidorm, Javea, Mar Menor, San Miguel. Marbella and more.

I am married and we have two little boys called Luca and Joshua. Because my husband and I share the same passion, they are probably the most photographed kids in the world. Ever since I was little, I was fascinated by cameras. It all started because my favourite uncle had a camera around his neck. I would follow him around and try to pursuade him to let me hold the camera and take some pictures. I couldn't wait to see the results. When I was around 17, I took a couple of courses to develop my skills a bit more and after a while I worked as a second shooter along side a very good professional photographer, who thought me even more. I 've also got my intermediate vocational education in PR, Marketing and Management and Higher Vocational Education in HRM. I left the corporates behind me to pursue my true passion!

First thing I do in the morning: Kiss my boys good morning, Oh and make myself a coffee!!

Favourite food: Pastas, Indonesian,Thai and Surinamese dishes.

Favourite sweet: anything chocolate

Favourite drinks: Mojito, Baileys and non-alcoholic water, Coke zero, nice cuppa tea and Starbucks coffee.

Favourite country: Thailand! Haven't seen the whole world yet so that might change in the future but I doubt it though...

Favourite programs: Suits, Scandal, Grey's anatomy, Revenge, Breaking Bad.

Favourite thing to do: Have a family day, go to the beach, do yoga, paint, spend christmas with our family and take lots of photos!

    It was nice to see some shots of Shima and Gus. I wish I was there as a friend and family and will miss hole my life this wedding in Santiago de compostela wish good luck for both and have to say thank you for your nice Description . .fell have been there some how and : yes yes the Iranian girls are sooo beautiful
